DJW makeover for Dorset country park

A visitor centre in Dorset which had a technological makeover by Beaulieu-based AV specialist, DJ Willrich (DJW), was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal on 12 March.

Durlston Country Park near Swanage now boasts a wealth of interactive and educational displays, which are designed to help those attending the visitor centre get more out of their experience.

Among the new features installed by DJW are a 'Multimedia Daily Diary', which the park's rangers will update on a daily basis to provide visitors with up-to-date information on that day’s events and news.

The company has also installed a large multiscreen show, featuring a year in the life of Durlston, which will display images of the country park throughout the seasons.

Next to it DJW has fitted a screen which shows a film on what can be found in rocks within the park and in other areas.

The film has been linked to the room's lighting system so that certain areas are lit up at specific points of the movie.

In addition, DJW has provided the centre with a lecture facility with large screen projection and audio system.

Software was provided by Centrescreen, with whom DJW also worked on the Bristol M Shed museum.
